אהיה is also יהו, the ו is the six sides as follows;

יהו – Chessed – Right – South – Wisdom
הוי – Gevurah – Left – North – Riches
והי – Tiferet – Central column – East – Righteous souls (children)
ויה – Netzach – Up – Right leg – Life
היו – Hod – Down – Left leg – Sustenance
יוה – Yessod – West – all the above

יהו represent Chessed, Gevurah, Tiferet of Zeir Anpin that elevated to Binah and became אהיה with same numerical value of 21. The three becomes one with Binah.
יהו cling to to Chokmah and receives from it like its shape, similar to stamp that receives the ink to its shape.
Our sages said “The one that wish to have wisdom (Chokmah) should go south”. The meaning of it is that one should behave with Chessed, loving and kindness to connect to wisdom. That is how the vessel can connect to Chokmah and draw the energy to his vessel. The letters יהו help to connect to Chokmah.
The Holy Ari in the Gates of Meditation in the discussion about the holiday of Sukkot explains the shaking of the Lullav (palm branch) to six direction using the above permutation of the letters. The energy essence of the letters is י for Chokmah, ה for Binah and ו for Da’at. The sequence of the letters determine their general energy.
