Daily Zohar – Tikunim – #156 – Why we should get out of our comfort zone
Tikkun #13 continue
The first letter of the four species make the word אעלה, and its meaning is elevation. In the process of the shaking we move the Lulav away from us, shake it three time and bring it back to our chest. This action takes us with the tool of Lulav up to the spiritual dimension and bring back inner light.
From the point of our being, spiritually is always in the up direction, which is far from the gravity of the body and its consciousness.
The different directions connect us to different types of energy. South is Chessed, North is Gevurah, East is Tiferet, Up is Netzach, Down is Hod and West is Yessod.
With the Lulav it is a special connection at a specific time for the whole year but it teaches us that every move that we make has spiritual significant.
A person on the other side of the globe is down relative to your position but when he jumps he is going up. Anywhere you move out of yourself takes you up spiritually.
All the great motivators tell us that we can not progress if we don’t get out of our comfort zone.
Comfort zone is illusionary state of no effort. Going down hill is easy. The force of gravity is happy to take you down. It needs mass to grow.
There is no falling down unless you take it physically and stay down. The spiritual energy reveals in the down direction is of Hod. It is the energy that bring us completion and fulfilment of our goals. It strengthen our vessel.
The spiritual tool to get out of ‘comfort zone’ is the fifth line of the Ana B’Koach
חֲסִין קָדוֹשׁ בְּרוֹב טוּבְךָ נַהֵל עֲדָתֶךָ
Everywhere you go can be an opportunity for spiritual growth. Seek it and you will find it.
