#145
The priests received instructions to bless the people of Israel using the holy tongue and with humility as it is written, “In this way (כֹּה) you shall bless the sons of Israel.”.
Malchut is called ‘כֹּה’ where we have holiness, awe, and humility. Rabbi Aba said that all judgments are awakened from ‘כֹּה’ because it is related to the word ‘כהה’ that means ‘dark,’ having no light.
Numbers 11:33 “וַיַּ֤ךְ יְהֹוָה֙ בָּעָ֔ם מַכָּ֖ה רַבָּ֥ה מְאֹֽד” “and YHVH struck the people with a very great plague (מַכָּ֖ה).”
Rabbi Elazar explains that the word ‘מַכָּ֖ה’ ‘plague’ means ‘from כה.’ Hashem instructed Moses to threaten Pharaoh with the name ‘כה’ as written in Exodus 7:16
“And you shall say to him, ‘YHVH God of the Hebrews has sent me to you, saying, “Let My people go, that they may serve Me in the wilderness”; but indeed, until now (כֹּה) you would not hear!”

Exodus 7:17
“Thus says YHVH: “By this (זֹאת) you shall know that I am YHVH. Behold, I will strike (מַכֶּה) the waters which are in the river with the rod that is in my hand, and they shall be turned to blood.”
Pharaoh ignored the threats from Malchut that is called ‘כה’ and ‘זֹאת’ that was ready to destroy Egypt.
Exodus 7:23
“And Pharaoh turned and went into his house. Neither was his heart moved by this.”

From ‘כה’ comes judgments, but when there is a connection to Chessed, Judgements in Malchut are sweetened. For that reason, the priests were given the mission to bless Israel as it is written;
Numbers 6:23
“Speak to Aaron and his sons, saying, ‘This is the way you shall bless the children of Israel. Say to them:”

The priests, with their Chassadim, remove judgments from the people in Malchut.
