Daily Zohar # 2199 – Devarim – Win over your enemies
- There’s no Zohar for the portion of Devarim and we are bringing Zohar paragraphs from other places where verses from devarim are mentioned.

Devarim
The book of Deuteronomy, Devarim, is the fifth or the seventh as we study in the portion of Behaalotcha (See DZ 1527). It’s the last book of the Torah and that puts it at the level of Malchut. Moses begins his talk to the nation of Israel and he “gives them on the head”. He scolds them for their negative behavior and lack of certainty in the God.
” You would not go up, but rebelled against the commandment of God ”
“And you murmured in your tents, and said: ‘Because God hated us, He brought us out of the land of Egypt, to deliver us into the hand of the Amorites, to destroy us’
And the effect was ( 1:34 , 35) ” ו ַיִּשְׁמַע יקוָק, אֶת-קוֹל דִּבְרֵיכֶם; וַיִּקְצֹף, וַיִּשָּׁבַע לֵאמֹר ”
“And God heard the voice of your words, and was wroth, and swore, saying ”
“’surely there shall not one of these men, even this evil generation, see the good land, which I swore to give unto your fathers,”
Again and again they try to go away from God ( 1:41 , 42, 43) and then the results were ( 1:44 ).
When they follow the ways of God, all obstacles are removed
Then Sihon came out against us, he and all his people, unto battle at Jahaz.”
Then God helps ” וַיִּתְּנֵהוּ יקוָק אֱלֹהֵינוּ, לְפָנֵינוּ; וַנַּךְ אֹתוֹ וְאֶת-בָּנָו, וְאֶת-כָּל-עַמּוֹ “, ” And God delivered him up before us; and we smote him, and his sons, and all his people “.
Moshe knew that he will leave the world in 37 days and he wanted to give the nation the final lessons on how to see and trust God in order to win over their enemies.
The Zohar reveals to us that even though Moses’s words were tough on them, they came with love.
