Zohar Vayeshev
A righteous person accepts the challenges of having smaller and broken vessel. He works to correct and expand it. Even though the vessel is at the lower level, he receives support from the Light of Binah. The suffering of a righteous is called suffering of love.
The lacks and limitations in the Tzadik’s life represent the love of the Creator for the Tzadik, giving him opportunities to work and expand his vessel to a greater level.
Psalms 34:19
“קָרוֹב יְהוָה, לְנִשְׁבְּרֵי-לֵב; וְאֶת-דַּכְּאֵי-רוּחַ יוֹשִׁיעַ.”
“Many are the afflictions of the righteous, But the LORD delivers him out of them all.”
The Light of Binah supports us and gives us the closeness to the Creator, where we feel his love and involvement in our lives even at a time when we feel that we walk alone and in the dark. Like righteous people, we should remember that the time flows in one direction and all we need is to hang on the righteous path with the spiritual tools, and soon we will step into the Light.
Deuteronomy 6:5
“וְאָהַבְתָּ, אֵת יְהוָה אֱלֹהֶיךָ, בְּכָל-לְבָבְךָ וּבְכָל-נַפְשְׁךָ, וּבְכָל-מְאֹדֶךָ”
“You shall love YHVH your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your might.”
This is the first verse of the Shmea Israel prayer. This prayer is the ultimate connection to the Light of Binah, especially when the person feels the love to the Creator in his heart, and is ready to accept all four types of death. The Shema prayer creates unification that lets the Light of Binah to flow into the person and ‘wash’ him from all negativity. We have three daily opportunities to make this connection, one in the morning, one in the evening and one on the bed just before going to sleep.
The Zohar reveals that when the Light is drawn into the vessel and renews it, it creates a renewal energy that helps the person in this life and in the world to come.
