89. [כֵּיוָן שֶׁנִּשְׁאֶרֶת הַנְּשָׁמָה בְּלִי מְקַטְרֵג וְנִטְהָר הַגּוּף מֵאוֹתָהּ הַזֻּהֲמָה, מִיָּד הַקָּדוֹשׁ בָּרוּךְ הוּא מַשְׁרֶה אֶת דִּיּוּרוֹ עִמּוֹ וְיוֹרֵשׁ נַחֲלָה עֶלְיוֹנָה וְתַחְתּוֹנָה, וְיֵשׁ לוֹ נַחַת בֵּין הַצַּדִּיקִים. וְהַמְקֻלָּל הַהוּא בֵּין אוֹתָם הָרְשָׁעִים חוֹטְאִים עִמּוֹ, עַד שֶׁאֵין פְדוּת לַחֲטָאֵיהֶם.]
90. [מַה כָּתוּב? וַיִּשְׁמַע אַבְרָם. זוֹ הַנְּשָׁמָה שֶׁנִּשְׁאֲרָה בְּטֹהַר הַגּוּף. כִּי נִשְׁבָּה אָחִיו – זֶה יֵצֶר הָרָע שֶׁנִּשְׁבָּה בֵּין אוֹתָם הָרְשָׁעִים בַּחֲטָאִים רַבִּים. וַיָּרֶק אֶת חֲנִיכָיו יְלִידֵי בֵיתוֹ – אֵלּוּ הֵם הַצַּדִּיקִים שֶׁעוֹסְקִים בַּתּוֹרָה, שֶׁהֵם הָאֵיבָרִים שֶׁל הַגּוּף הַזְּרִיזִים לָלֶכֶת עִמּוֹ. שְׁמֹנָה עָשָׂר וּשְׁלֹשׁ מֵאוֹת – אֵלּוּ רמ”ח אֵיבְרֵי הַגּוּף, וְשִׁבְעִים שֶׁל סוֹד הַנְּשָׁמָה שֶׁיּוֹצֵאת מִשָּׁם.] בַּכֹּל מִזְדָּרֵז לָלֶכֶת לְשָׁם לְאוֹתָם הָרְשָׁעִים לְהָשִׁיב אוֹתָם [מֵחֶטְאָם] מֵחֲטָאֵיהֶם.

When the soul is separated from its negative side, the body is purified and the Holy One Blessed be He can come immediately and dwell within it. The pure person enjoys peace among the righteous and inherits a portion in the upper and lower worlds.
The ‘cursed’ that is represented by Lot, is lost among the wicked and sinners until they reach a point of no redemption.

Genesis 14:14
“וַיִּשְׁמַע אַבְרָם כִּי נִשְׁבָּה אָחִיו וַיָּרֶק אֶת חֲנִיכָיו יְלִידֵי בֵיתוֹ שְׁמֹנָה עָשָׂר וּשְׁלֹשׁ מֵאוֹת וַיִּרְדֹּף עַד דָּן.”
“When Abram heard that his relative had been taken captive, he led out his trained men, born in his house, three hundred and eighteen, and went in pursuit as far as Dan.”

‘Abram heard’ is the aspect of the pure righteous soul. ‘his relative had been taken captive’ refers to Lot that fell into the negative side.
‘his trained men’ is the aspect of the body parts of the Tzadikim that study the Torah. They are ready to follow the commands of the Tzadik with their purity.
‘three hundred and eighteen’ men is a number that comes from 248 body parts and the number 70 that is the secret of the soul It comes from the seven Sefirot of Zeir Anpin that each of them has its own 10 sefirot.
Abram used his body and soul like an army to go and pull the wicked from the negative-side and bring them to the pure side, with Teshuvah, repentance.

Lesson;
The most difficult action is to rise after falling under the influence of the negative side. Before it’s too late, it would be best to reach to a person on the righteous side and ask help to return back on the righteous path.
A righteous person needs to be pure in body and soul to be able to pull the fallen from the ‘gravity’ of the other side.
Some try to pull others out of their ‘mud’ but they fell themselves because they didn’t have the purity and spiritual strength to do that. We may try to save people because the spiritual reward of helping another to do Teshuvah is great but at the same time we shouldn’t risk our own soul and fall down to the level of the other person.
