Daily Zohar 3834

#118
Rabbi Chiya asks Rabbi Yossi; it was known to the Holy One Blessed be He that the Egyptians wizards would do serpents, then what was the importance of making serpents in front of Pharaoh. He told him because it was a sign of the beginning of the punishments.
The primordial serpent caused Adam and Eve to sin. Pharaoh’s rule starts on the Left, where the Snake’s origin is. When the Egyptians saw how Aaron’s rod turned into a serpent, they were happy because they knew that the beginning of Chokmah of their serpent was also from the Left. But then the rod of Aaron swallowed their rods.
#119
They were surprised to see their rods swallowed by Aaron’s rod. They thought that they had control over the earth, but now they realized that there is a supernal rule above.
#120
Aaron did two signs, one above and one below. The one above, which is the supernal serpent from the Holy side, controls their serpents—another sign below when his wooden rod swallowed their rods.
Pharaoh was wiser than his magicians, and he saw that there was a supernal power rule over the earth, rules above and rules below.
Lesson;
When we bring the Light to a competition, we win because whatever is higher has the control below.
Friday would be a good day to make a ** Donation, especially if you didn’t donate in the past week. Giving on Friday, which is an aspect of Yessod, expands the vessel for the Light and honor of Shabbat.
** Your donation doesn’t have to be given to the same place every week. You can alternate or split your donation among those who benefit you spiritually.
