Hebrew translation:

459. אָמַר רַבִּי שִׁמְעוֹן, בֹּא רְאֵה, רָשָׁע זֶה הָיָה גֹּעַל הַכֹּל, שֶׁלֹּא תִמְצָא בְּכָל הַפָּרָשָׁה הַזּוֹ וַיֹּאמֶר ה’ אֶל בִּלְעָם, אוֹ וַיְדַבֵּר ה’, חַס וְשָׁלוֹם. מַה כָּתוּב? וַיָּשֶׂם ה’ דָּבָר בְּפִי בִלְעָם וְגוֹ’, כְּמִי שֶׁשָּׂם מַחְסוֹם בְּפִי הַחֲמוֹר שֶׁלֹּא יִסְטֶה כָּאן אוֹ כָּאן. כָּךְ – וַיָּשֶׂם ה’ דָּבָר בְּפִי וְגוֹ’.
460. אָמַר לוֹ הַקָּדוֹשׁ בָּרוּךְ הוּא: רָשָׁע! אַתָּה חוֹשֵׁב שֶׁעַל יָדְךָ תִּהְיֶה וְתִתְקַיֵּם בְּרָכָה בְּבָנַי אוֹ הַהֵפֶךְ – לֹא צְרִיכִים הֵם לְךָ, כְּמוֹ שֶׁאוֹמְרִים לַצִּרְעָה וְכוּ’. אֶלָּא אַתָּה שׁוּב אֶל בָּלָק, וּכְשֶׁתִּפְתַּח פִּיךָ, לֹא יִהְיֶה בִרְשׁוּתְךָ. וְלֹא בְּפִיךָ תָּלוּי הַדִּבּוּר, אֶלָּא וְכֹה תְדַבֵּר. הֲרֵי כֹּה, שֶׁעָתִיד לְבָרְכָם כֹּה, תְּדַבֵּר בִּרְכַּת בָּנַי, שֶׁכְּשֶׁתִּפְתַּח פִּיךָ הִיא תְּדַבֵּר מִלִּים לְהִתְקַיֵּם עַל בָּנַי, שֶׁלֹּא אַשְׁאִיר דְּבָרִים לְךָ.
461. בֹּא וּרְאֵה שֶׁכָּךְ הוּא. כֵּיוָן שֶׁבָּא בָלָק, וּבָלָק שָׁמַע כָּל אוֹתָם דְּבָרִים, הָיָה חוֹשֵׁב שֶׁמִּפִּי בִלְעָם יָצְאוּ, וְאָמַר: לָקֹב אֹיְבַי לְקַחְתִּיךָ. אָמַר בִּלְעָם: קַח כְּשָׁפִים אֵלּוּ בְּיָדְךָ, כְּדֵי לְעַכֵּב כָּאן אֶת הַכֹּה הַזֹּאת. וְאִם תּוּכַל לְעַכְּבָהּ (לְעָקְרָהּ) בַּכְּשָׁפִים הַלָּלוּ, אֲנִי אֶעֱקֹר אוֹתָהּ מֵאוֹתָם דְּבָרִים שֶׁהִיא אָמְרָה.

Rabbi Shimon said, come and see, this wicked, a disgrace to everything. Because you won’t find it in all this Parsha “And YHVH said to Balaam”, or “YHVH spoke…”,Instead, it is written, “and YHVH put words in the mouth of Balaam”, etc., like one who puts a muzzle on the mouth of a donkey so that it does not lean this way and that, so it says;
Numbers 23:5
“וַיָּשֶׂם יְהוָה דָּבָר בְּפִי בִלְעָם וַיֹּאמֶר שׁוּב אֶל בָּלָק וְכֹה תְדַבֵּר.”
“Then YHVH put a word in Balaam’s mouth and said, “Return to Balak, and thus you shall speak.”

The Holy One Blessed be He said to him, evil, do you think that by your hand there will be a blessing that can manifest in my children or vice versa? They do not need you as they would reject a wasp, saying, “לא מעוקצך ולא מדובשך” “neither from your sting nor from your honey.” But you return to Balak, and when you open your mouth, it will not be in your words nor dependent on your mouth; rather, “you shall speak thus(כֹה).” The Shechina is “כֹה,” ready to bless them. Thus you shall speak the blessing for my children because when you open your mouth, the Shechina “כֹה” will speak the blessings that will be fulfilled for my children, and I will not leave it to you.

Since Balaam came to Balak, and Balak heard all these words that he blessed Israel, Balak thought that they came out of Balaam’s mouth. He said to Balaam;
Numbers 23:11
“וַיֹּאמֶר בָּלָק אֶל בִּלְעָם מֶה עָשִׂיתָ לִי לָקֹב אֹיְבַי לְקַחְתִּיךָ וְהִנֵּה בֵּרַכְתָּ בָרֵךְ.”
“Then Balak said to Balaam, “What have you done to me? I took you to curse my enemies, and look, you have blessed them bountifully!”
Balaam said, take this sorcery in your hand so that you will delay the Shechinah “כֹה,” that is Malchut, and if you can delay her with this sorcery, I will displace her from those things she said, that is canceling the blessings that she said above.

Lesson;
Nothing happened in this world without permission from above. For that reason, we ask Hashem to be channels for his blessings, and as messengers, we receive the Light and become blessed by it.
All blessings come from HaShem, so when we wish well or bless others, we ask Hashem to bless them with whatever is good for them. We don’t know what is good for others. They may need health more than wealth. Health and long life have priority over money because we can have more time to reveal light and do good in the world. Hashem would provide sustenance and wealth to those who need it.
