Isaiah 38:11
“אָמַרְתִּי לֹא אֶרְאֶה יָהּ יָהּ בְּאֶרֶץ הַחַיִּים לֹא אַבִּיט אָדָם עוֹד עִם יוֹשְׁבֵי חָדֶל.”
“I said, “I shall not see יָהּ YH, יָהּ YH in the land of the living; I shall observe man no more among the inhabitants of the world.”

It says, “I shall not see יה YH”. He asks who can see יה YH? and explains that the end of the verse reveals the meaning. It is written, “יָהּ YH in the land of the living.” When the souls ascend to the place called “the bundle of life,” where they enjoy the glow of the Light from the highest place of all. If the soul were not clothed in the radiance of another garment, it would not be able to approach to see that special Light.

The secret of this is that just as the soul receives a garment, which is the body, to exist in this world, the soul is given a garment of supreme radiance to stand in that world and look inside the reflection of Light that is Zeir Anpin, that shines from that land of the living, which is the Nukva of Zeir Anpin.

Moses could not go up the mountain and look at what he was looking on Mount Sinai except when he dressed himself in other clothing, as it is said;
Exodus 24:18
“וַיָּבֹא מֹשֶׁה בְּתוֹךְ הֶעָנָן וַיַּעַל אֶל הָהָר וַיְהִי מֹשֶׁה בָּהָר אַרְבָּעִים יוֹם וְאַרְבָּעִים לָיְלָה.”
“So Moses went into the midst of the cloud and went up into the mountain. And Moses was on the mountain forty days and forty nights.”
Moses was dressed in the cloud as one who dressed in clothing. And so is said (Exodus 20:17), “Moses entered the mist where God is,” and it is written, “And Moshe came in the midst of the cloud,” “And Moshe was on the mountain forty days and forty nights.” After Moses dressed in the mist of the cloud, he could see what he looked at.

Lesson;
The forces that ‘animate’ this world are not visible. Moses need to go inside a cloud to hide the force that took him up to the mountain, which is not a residence of Hashem but an elevated spiritual place where Moses could go to receive the Torah from Hashem.
