“Then Saul said to the Kenites, “Go, depart, get down from among the Amalekites, lest I destroy you with them. For you showed kindness to all the children of Israel when they came out of Egypt.” So the Kenites departed from among the Amalekites.”

King Saul tells the Kenites, “For you showed kindness to all the children of Israel,” referring to Jethro that hosted Moses in his home and helped him in the wilderness. Jethro showed kindness to all Israel because Moses was considered as all Israel. And also because he added one more Parsha in the Torah. And in doing that, he did a kindness to all Israel.

“So the Kenites departed from among the Amalekites.”
Why did this thing come about related to the war of Amalek? And he answered Saul said, when Israel went out of Egypt, the nation of Amalek came against Israel. They did evil to Israel and made war with them. But the Jethro the Kenite brought peace and kindness to Israel, and therefore it is not proper for the Kenites to connect with Amalek.

Jethro, יתרו, was called Kenite, קני, a name that has the same letters as קין ‘Cain’ who killed his brother Abel הבל. Moses was a reincarnation of Abel, and Jethro was a reincarnation of Cain. Cain was born with the impurity of the Snake because of the first sin. He was the first Erev Rav, and Moses took Jethro’s daughter to correct the impurity from the side of Cain.
