#142
And that appointed one, named Azriel Saba (the Elder. See #139), when the prayer ascends in silence, all those six hundred camps and all those with eyes and all those with ears, come out and kiss that word of the ascending prayer. That is what it means,
Psalm 34:16
“עֵינֵי יְהוָה אֶל צַדִּיקִים וְאָזְנָיו אֶל שַׁוְעָתָם.”
“The eyes of YHVH are on the righteous, And His ears are open to their cry.”
The “eyes” of YHVH are on the righteous. These are the angels in the firmament of Yessod of the world of Asiyah. Because there are those with eyes above in the upper levels, for eyes are at the level of Chokmah, but the eyes referred to here are the eyes of Yesod. Because Yessod is called Tzadik, and “His ears are open to their cry,” these are on the level of ears.

#143
The third sky, which corresponds to Netzach and Hod of the world of Asiyah, is where the prayer ascends and reaches. There, there is the appointed called “גְּדַ-רְ-יָה” (Do not read the name aloud), along with several ministers and appointees. He serves three times a day, corresponding to the movement of the three lines upwards in Atzilut, akin to a single wand (שַׁרְבִיט) of light that ascends, descends and does not stay in one place. This denotes his intention to draw down the illumination of Chokmah from the Left, known as the wand (שַׁרְבִיט) of light. After three journeys, the wand is hidden. The wand descends and bows down to the prayer when the prayer rises.
This third sky, which is Netzach and Hod of Asiyah, is called the Firmament of the Wand (שַׁרְבִיט), named after the wand that operates within it.

Lesson;
The word for ‘Wand’ שַׁרְבִיט is from the root of ‘looking’ ‘שר’ as we read in Job 33:27 “יָשֹׁר עַל אֲנָשִׁים וַיֹּאמֶר” “Then he looks at men and says.”
“בִיט” is from the root “מבט,” which is also “to see” and “observe.”
In this firmament, the prayers are observed and connected to the Light of Chokmah, the aspect of “eyes”, on their way up the middle line.
