Daily Zohar # 4513 – Vayikra – The offering that is above all
Daily Zohar 4513

The offering that is above all is the incense (Ketoret), which is entirely perfect and does not come for sin, guilt, or iniquity but for joy. As it is said,
Proverbs 27:9
“Ointment and perfume (Ketoret) delight the heart, And the sweetness of a man’s friend gives delight by hearty counsel.”
We have already established that the incense is offered only when oil is brought, as it says;
Exodus 30:7
“Aaron shall burn on the incense every morning; when he tends the lamps (of the Menorah), he shall burn incense on it.”
This is so that oil and incense are found together. Oil is the aspect of Chokmah, and incense is the aspect of Binah. Chokmah and Binah are always together. Peace offerings make peace in everything and stop discord and prosecution from being awakened in the world. But the Ketoret ties the bond of faith, drawing Mochin to Malchut that is called faith (אֱמוּנָה Emuna).

Rabbi Elazar said, all ten names are written in the Torah, and we have learned that the first name is אהיה AHYH, which is the supreme concealed one, as if saying “אֶהְיֶה אֲשֶׁר אֶהְיֶה” “I Am Who I Am,” (Exodus 3:14) and it is not known who He is. It is Keter. And then it is written, ‘Asher Ehyeh (I Will Be),’ which is Chokhmah, meaning ‘I will be revealed in these other crowns,’ for initially, it is concealed, that is, in Keter, and then begins to be revealed, that is, in Chokmah and Binah, until it reaches the revelation of the Holy Name, in Tiferet.
