Daily Zohar # 5135 – Vayikra – The eighteen letters of the six extremities
Daily Zohar 5135

#282
And the secret of the matter is as it is said in Sefer Yetzirah (the Book of Formation): “He sealed the (רום) height and turned (למעלה) upward — with Yod-Hei-Vav to the right side, which is Chessed, and that is the first permutation. With Hei-Vav-Yod to the left side, which is Gevurah, and that is the second permutation. With Vav-Yod-Hei in the middle column, which is Tiferet, and that is the third permutation. Yod-Vav-Hei in Netzach, and that is the fourth permutation. Hei-Yod-Vav in Hod, and that is the fifth permutation. And Vav-Yod-Hei in Yessod, which is the sixth permutation.”
The tree that holds all of them is Tiferet, for Tiferet includes all the six extremities (ו” ק, Vav Ketzavot). And it is “a tree that makes fruit.” And because of this, “wherever the tree falls, there it shall be” (Ecclesiastes 11:3) alludes to יה״ו — that Tiferet is called only with the three letters יה״ו, and the final Hei is Malchut that connects with him. And therefore his six extremities (ו” ק) are evaluated with the six permutations of יה״ו.
Similarly, in every Name of the six extremities (ו” ק) there is a final Hei that completes the Name YHVH, and the final Hei completes the YHVH and all the Names within the six (ו” ק) that are grasped in it. In this manner: יה״ו with Hei is יהו״ה; and הו״י with Hei is הוי״ה; and וה״י with Hei is והיה. And likewise with the other Names.
#283
And these six permutations of יה״ו are the eighteen letters of the six extremities — Chessed- Gevurah- Tiferet- Netzach- Hod-Yessod — all included in the “Tzadik, Life of the Worlds” “צַדִּיק חַי הָעוֹלָמִים”, which is Yessod of Zeir Anpin. And with the Hei, which is Malchut, it becomes “חַיָּה” (living).
And the secret of the matter is like Noah’s Ark, which is Malchut, in which were gathered from every kind pairs of two, pairs of seven for the offering. Pairs of two is four, pairs of seven is fourteen; together they are eighteen, and the ark itself has the Hei because it is Malchut, and the word is completed as “חַיָּה” (living).
Notes:
The Zohar reveals the profound structure of the divine Name YHVH in relation to the six extremities (ו” ק) of Zeir Anpin. The six permutations of the letters יה״ו correspond to the six sefirot from Chessed to Yessod, all held together by Tiferet, the central tree. The final Hei of the full Name YHVH represents Malchut, which completes and unites with Zeir Anpin.
This is compared to Noah’s Ark (Malchut), which gathered pairs and sevens, totaling eighteen (the numerical value of “חי” “Chai” — living), with the Hei completing it into “חַיָּה” “Chayah.” Thus, when Malchut unites with the six sefirot of Zeir Anpin through the power of the Name, the entire structure becomes “living” and whole. This is the inner secret of the sacrifices and the rectification that occurs when the divine male and female aspects are properly joined. The teaching shows how the Name YHVH and its permutations are the living blueprint of the sefirot tree.
Friday would be a good day to make a ** Donation, especially if you didn’t donate in the past week. Giving on Friday, which is an aspect of Yessod, expands the vessel for the Light and honor of Shabbat.
** Your donation doesn’t have to be given to the same place every week. You can alternate or split your donation among those who benefit you spiritually.
