Daily Zohar # 5190 – Vayikra – When the morning stars sang together
Daily Zohar 5190
Hebrew translation:
.
Zohar Vayikra
Continued from previous DZ
#379
The merchant opened and said: “בְּרָן יַחַד כּוֹכְבֵי בֹקֶר וַיָּרִיעוּ כָּל בְּנֵי אֱלֹהִים” “When the morning stars sang together, and all the sons of God shouted for joy” (Job 38:7).
Come and see: When the Holy One, blessed be He, comes to delight with the tzaddikim in the Garden of Eden, all the things — that is, the levels that are in the lower world, which is Malchut — and all the upper and lower beings awaken toward Him. And all the trees — which are the levels in the Garden of Eden — open with praises toward Him. This is what is written: “אָז יְרַנְּנוּ עֲצֵי הַיָּעַר מִלִּפְנֵי יְהוָה כִּי בָא” “Then shall the trees of the forest sing for joy before YHVH, for He comes” (1 Chronicles 16:33). And even the birds of the land — all of them utter praise before Him. Then a flame issues and strikes the wings of the rooster, and it calls and praises the Holy King, and calls to the children of man to strive in Torah, and in the praise of their Master and His service. Fortunate is the portion of those who rise from their beds to occupy themselves with Torah.
Notes:
The Zohar describes the cosmic joy when Hashem comes to delight with the tzaddikim in Gan Eden. All levels — upper and lower, the trees of the Garden, and even the birds — awaken in praise. A supernal flame strikes the rooster’s wings at midnight, causing it to crow and call humanity to Torah study and praise. This is the inner meaning of the morning stars singing and the sons of God shouting for joy. The teaching encourages rising at night for Torah, as it participates in the divine delight and brings blessing to all worlds. Fortunate are those who join this holy service.
