Pinchas 120-122
Pslams 149:2 “יִשְׂמַח יִשְׂרָאֵל בְּעֹשָׂיו”
“Let Israel rejoice in his Makers”
The Zohar teaches us that the ‘makers’ are our links to the spiritual source, which are YHVH and the Shechina. The father (Chokmah) and mother (Binah) as well as the parents that gave us birth are also part of the joy and happiness in our lives.
Connecting the male and female on all levels, creates flow of energy that brings us happiness.
The first word “יִשְׂמַח” of the verse above means ‘happy’ (in future tense). The letters spell “משיח” “Mashiach” and reveals the secret of true happiness because it is the state when the Light will join the vessel for continuous flow of light to the world.
When we connect with happiness to the source of light that gives or channels for us the life force, we actually connect to the light of Mashiach. Even if life seems like lying on a bed of nails pricking and bleeding out our bodies, we should be happy. It is part of our ‘work’ to achieve the final goal that is living in the time of Mashiach. It is a period of thousand years of enjoying the pleasures of the world of Malchut without the process of earning. The bed of nails will be gone forever.
The Zohar is the aspect of spiritual father and studying it is the vessel that draws this joyful (= great light) connection. Each time we ‘dig’ into a Torah verse and study its secrets, we reveal light. It brings us one step closer to our goal. Each Torah verse or Zohar paragraph that we study ‘polishes’ (=work, earning process) the ‘diamond’ (light of Torah and Zohar) and reveals greater light in our lives.
