Daily Zohar # 1250 – Pinchas – Measure your blessings.
The Zohar here, quotes a famous quote of the sages. “A person is measured with the same measuring tool that he uses” and explains that the measurements are the attributes of God that we study through the 70 aspects of the Torah.
The seven Sefirot of Chessed, Gevurah, Tiferet, Netzach, Hod, Yessod and Malchut represent the process of life that the soul goes through in the Tikkun process. Each Sefira includes 10 Sefirot and that is the secret of the 70 ‘faces’, levels, aspects to the Torah.
The Torah is the ultimate guide, helping us achieve complete correction. For that reason, 70 years is considered as complete lifetime.
Exodus 20:20 “בְּכָל-הַמָּקוֹם אֲשֶׁר אַזְכִּיר אֶת-שְׁמִי, אָבוֹא אֵלֶיךָ וּבֵרַכְתִּיךָ”
“in every place where I cause My name to be mentioned I will come unto you and bless you.”
This verse comes from the same chapter of the Ten Commandments. God gave us the tool and all we need to do now is use it.
The ‘Faithfull Shepherd’, Moses, explains this verse and says that God mentions his name in the Torah as a measurement for us to make a connection and receive his blessings.
When we ‘measure’ the Torah, meaning study the different aspects of it, we earn that measure. The Zohar connects us to ‘measurements’ that are deep and closer to YHVH and the spiritual system that can never be achieved with simple study of the Torah.
The Daily Zohar is strict in bringing the sacred text from the Zohar and Torah to you for that important reason. The commentary in English is just a tool to appreciate what we see in front of our eyes and listen with our ears.
