Daily Zohar # 1396 – Pinchas – Be glad and rejoice
Zohar Pinchas, Vol. 20 (English)/Vol 15 (Hebrew)
Pinchas 894-895 (Final paragraphs of Zohar Pinchas)
The Zohar praises the share of the Israelites that know how to get into the ‘מוח האגוז’ ‘brain’ of the ‘nut’. We need to break the shell, ‘Klipah’, before we can get inside and enjoy the fruit.
During the process we went through the holiday of Sukkot we shared with the 70 nations and gradually weakened their hold on the most important prize that we have, which is the Torah.
Now on the eighth day we have special assembly and we celebrate our unification with the Torah and its inner light.
Numbers 29:35
“On the eighth day, assembly will be for you”
The special assembly is the gathering of the light from the six sefirot of Zeir Anpin in Malchut. We celebrate this event with dancing with the Torah. We dance following seven circles drawing the light from Chessed, Gevurah, Tiferet, Netzach, Hod and Yessod to Malchut. This is the ‘brain’, מוחין, of the ‘nut’.
The verse says ‘assembly will be for you’, and the Zohar emphases ‘for you’ and not for others. The other side has no part in this light that is reserved for the Israelites that accepted the Torah on Mount Sinai.
Psalms 32:11
“Be glad in YHVH and rejoice, you righteous ones; And shout for joy, all you who are upright in heart.”
The Zohar completes the study of Pinchas with this verse to make us aware of the great merit that we have with the Torah and the connection to the YHVH.
The first word with the count of the letter is numerically Mashiach and the last three with count of letters and Kolel is numerically Torah. The last two letters are the same of the first and last letters of the Torah.
The Torah is our path to righteousness and Mashiach. The Zohar is the light that guides us on this path. Pinchas is immortal and the entire teaching of Zohar Pinchas connects us to the immortality of our souls. We read from the Portion of Pinchas every day of the year in our prayers. On Rosh Chodesh and holidays we read additional Torah section from Pinchas to elevate the connection of the holiday. Abraham made the covenant with God and Pinchas is the one that keeps and maintains it for us. He connects to every Israelite soul during the circumcision ceremony and is the one who comes as Elijah to announce the Mashiach.
The study of Pinchas should be treasured and repeated, so even after the Daily Zohar continues with other Zohar studies we should come back to Pinchas for reading, scanning and listening.
Many thanks to the thousands who joined this study, thanks to Rabbi Shimon, Moses and Elijah that gave us this study and thank God for everything.
After reading the last Zohar paragraph of Pinchas, make a meal with full blessings to honor and elevate this connection.
The DailyZohar continues to deliver daily Zohar section with audio. I may not write a lot for few weeks but you will definitely receive a Daily Zohar by email and on the site.
