Daily Zohar # 1553 – Balak – True and heartfelt tears
Zohar Balak
The Zohar tells us that when God says something it is done immediately. Our life and actions are measured by time. Whatever we do must go through the limitation of time. There’s always a time gap between words and manifestation.
This is so for our benefit because of the desire for the self that is installed in every one of us. To understand the benefit of time for us, imagine a person who wishes death on another person. If it was a sudden death there would be no going back. But the aspect of time in this world is mercy. It allows us to make correction and take back the potential negativity that we have created.
The Zohar reveals to us that when a person is in repentance, prays, acts positively and cries to cleanse his negativity then he is considered holy. God then bestows from his own holiness to the person to fulfill his wishes.
Lesson: Even if we have a dark past, we can recover from it by transforming our hearts and actions. When the pain of the impurities we carry brings us to true and heartfelt tears, we can reach a higher level of cleansing with the support of God.
