Daily Zohar # 1833 – Naso – The bulls of our lips
Continued from previous DZ
The prophet Hosea reminds the Israelites their sins, and also how to make the correction.
“Return, O Israel, to YHVH your God, for you have stumbled because of your iniquity.”
“קְחוּ עִמָּכֶם דְּבָרִים, וְשׁוּבוּ אֶל-יְהוָה; אִמְרוּ אֵלָיו, כָּל-תִּשָּׂא עָוֹן וְקַח-טוֹב, וּנְשַׁלְּמָה פָרִים, שְׂפָתֵינוּ”
“Take with you words and return (Teshuva) to YHVH; say to him, “Take away all iniquity; accept what is good, and we will pay with bulls the vows of our lips”
After the destruction of the Holy Temple we can not use sacrifices to cleanse us. The prophet reveals to us that we can use our words instead of offering bulls or other sacrifices.
The Zohar tells us that personal confession is the aspect of Malchut, the lower H on the YHVH name and Teshuva is a precept that is Binah, the upper H of the name.
Every prayer is on the level of Malchut and it needs the heart that is the aspect of the letter V of the name to elevate to Binah and create the aspect of Teshuvah. Then the lower H is joining to the upper H and the Light flows and cleans us.
The word Teshuva תשובה reveals the process.
When we put our hearts and minds into our prayers we can achieve a state that is like offering sacrifices in the Holy Temple and benefit from the cleansing power that comes with it.
