Zohar Metzora
Psalms 2:4,5
“יוֹשֵׁב בַּשָּׁמַיִם יִשְׂחָק: אֲדֹנָי, יִלְעַג-לָמוֹ”
“אָז יְדַבֵּר אֵלֵימוֹ בְאַפּוֹ; וּבַחֲרוֹנוֹ יְבַהֲלֵמוֹ.”
“He who sits in the heavens laughs, The Lord scoffs at them.”
“Then he will speak to them in his wrath, and terrify them in his fury, saying,”
Before we begin this study, I want to emphasize the fact everyone should know that there’s only one force that controls the entire existence. Whatever we see or don’t see, good or bad, kind or evil, corporeal or spiritual, Galaxies in the distance of myriad light years or the rock under your feet, it’s all part of and governed by the Endless Light blessed be He.
We are under the government of the Tree of Knowledge Good and Bad. We can connect to the ‘Good’ that will lead us to the Tree of Life, which is the type of existence that God originally intended for Adam and Eve. This perfect world would be experienced in the ‘world to come’.
We also have the choice to connect to the ‘Bad’ side of the Tree (system) and receive energy from there.
You may ask: if all comes from the Endless then what’s wrong with having energy coming from any side. The answer is that because of the first sin, we mixed the perfect world with the world of temporary state, illusions, lies, all kind of lacks and death. Because of that the world was created for us ‘to make’ (Genesis 2:3).
The Zohar explains that the Holy One Blessed Be He, brings Light and pleasures to the wicked people in this world.
Wicked people are those who desire and cling to the material world of death. They don’t see the Light and the promise of pure world without death. They live to fulfil their ‘bucket list’ until they are buried deep covered with buckets of dust. They have deep fear of death because their souls know what would happen after death.
At the same time, God gives them opportunities to come back into the righteous path.
Righteous people are those who work to earn the Light from the ‘Good’ side of the Tree. They know that existence in this world is temporary. They jump on any opportunity to follow the Torah and earn Light that will purify their souls. It makes them ready for the world to come, a pure world where there’s no lack, diseases or any form of negativity. It’s life of immortality and endless pleasure with the Light of the Endless.
If they don’t ‘get’ the messages, they can’t enter the world to come. They are removed from the ‘Book of Life’, which lists those who earned the merit to rise up during the Resurrection period to immortality.
If they follow the Light and continue seeking it, they will have more opportunities to purify their souls and earn benefits on the path to purity and righteousness.
These opportunities are based on the individual correction records and are not always pleasant. It may come relatively easy and gradually or with great pain and suffering. In many cases it is the best way to shorten the tikkun process and achieve purity and elevation. We find comfort in the fact that everything in this life is temporary including the feeling of pain.
Our main goal is to submit to the process and accept the pain when it comes. It may take one punch or a hundred but we should always rise and continue walking on the path because giving up means losing immortality.
Isaiah 57:19
“בּוֹרֵא, נוב (נִיב) שְׂפָתָיִם; שָׁלוֹם שָׁלוֹם לָרָחוֹק וְלַקָּרוֹב, אָמַר יְהוָה–וּרְפָאתִיו”
“Creator of the praise of the lips. Peace, peace to him who is far and to him who is near,” Says YHVH, “and I will heal him.””
The Zohar quotes this verse and explains that when we come back to YHVH and with the power of prayers on our lips, He welcomes us saying “Peace, peace to those who are far and those who are near”, “I will heal him”
Coming back to YHVH with prayers is the way to heal our souls.
