The two hands could join together because they come from the same supreme root and same name ‘יד’. Even though they have different description, ‘Great hand’ and ‘Strong hand’, their equal source allow them to connect together.
Each hand represents the ten Sefirot and together they created heaven and earth and all that included with them.

Genesis 48:3
“Then Jacob said to Joseph, “God Almighty appeared to me at Luz in the land of Canaan and blessed me,”
Rabbi Aba explains that ‘Luz’ is the name of the supernal Jerusalem, which is Binah that bring the Shechina to the lower world.
Jacob that represents the Central column, Zeir Anpin, revealed to Joseph that he received blessings from Binah, which is the source of blessings. These blessings can manifest only in the Holy Land while other lands won’t have share of these blessings.

Rabbi Elazar quotes Proverbs 27:14
“Whoever blesses his neighbor with a loud voice, rising early in the morning, will be counted as cursing.”
The aspect of curse is when one doesn’t recognize the blessings that come to him.
God loves us and whatever happen to us and may seems as punishment, but is a blessing in disguise. Most people can’t see or understand the cause, reason for events in their lives. Their curse is that they see the blessings as punishments.
It’s hard for us to see the blessings in everything happening in or lives but if we have a loving parents then everything they do to and for us must be in the frame of love and care for our wellbeing and future. As a parent you may punish your child and at the same time feel pain in doing so. Nevertheless the child’s future is what you care for and you would do anything to support a safe, healthy and successful future for him. Not every parent knows how to support or guides their child by God sees everything and doesn’t make mistake. His love is unconditional and everything he brings in our lives is for the best outcome, even if it’s hard to understand and go through.
Having this understanding and internalizing it can give us freedom and peace, like holding to a lifesaver over troubled water.
