Zohar Vayikra
#71
The thought is the beginning of everything. From it spread different ways and paths of negativity , evil inclination and other forms of influence that take the thought into negative actions.
The thoughts of the Creator don’t have any negative aspects. The manifestations of our thoughts is almost never the same as the original thought. The Creator’s thoughts are always positive and manifest without change in this world.
#72
Leviticus 1:3
“אִם-עֹלָה קָרְבָּנוֹ מִן-הַבָּקָר, זָכָר תָּמִים יַקְרִיבֶנּוּ; אֶל-פֶּתַח אֹהֶל מוֹעֵד, יַקְרִיב אֹתוֹ, לִרְצֹנוֹ, לִפְנֵי יְהוָה”
“’If his offering is a burnt offering from the herd, he shall offer it, a male without defect; he shall offer it at the doorway of the tent of meeting, that he may be accepted before YHVH.”
In the portion of Leviticus the Torah describes the work of the Levites and priests in the Holy Tabernacle. The different sacrifices and offerings were made to form connections to the higher levels and draw different light to cleanse and sustain the people.
The first offering is a male from the herd.
#73
The offering is named עֹלָה (pronounced ‘Olah’). The literal meaning is ‘elevated’. It’s not a female because the male represents a channel from upper levels that is the aspect of the first thought and positive light to the world. The male/channel should be without defects to maximize on the light drawn down through the spiritual channel that is opened with this burnt offering. No one eats from this offering and it is burnt and consumed completely all night on the altar.
Lesson:
A desire is the aspect of female/vessel. To draw light of fulfilment we need to form the aspect of male to channel Light into the vessel. It is done by dedicating 100% of ourselves with meditations and prayers to draw the light.
The offering of ‘Olah’ was not eaten by anyone, and we cannot expect anything specific in return except for pure light if our prayers are without ‘defects’. If we don’t get busy with thoughts about ‘what do I get from this’, we let the thought of the Creator to manifest for us.
We shouldn’t get occupied too much with the thought to allow pure light to fulfil our vessel. We give priority to the thought of the Creator that knows what’s good for us.
