Note: We continue with the study of the Idra Zuta that is inside Zohar Ha’azinu from paragraph #23 through #201 . Idra Zuta is the last study Rabbi Shimon gave to his students before leaving the world.

Rabbi Shimon got up and said that it’s time to reveal how Atika Kadisha created the aspects of male and female. When Binah came out of Chokmah, Binah had the aspect of female because she receives the Light from Chokmah. Chokmah is now called ‘Father’ and Binah is called ‘Mother’. Both must stay connected at all times to delivers light to the Lower levels.
When Atika elevated Malchut to Binah, Malchut received the Light from Binah and then Malchut ‘fell’ down to its original place leaving the light behind. The lack of Light that Malchut experienced is the aspect of emptiness, darkness and judgment. During this process, the Sefirot of Zeir Anpin also received the aspect of judgment. Because of that we have the process of fulfillment that requires elevation to Binah to receive the Light.

The beginning and connection of Chokmah and Binah that are father and mother delivered Zeir Anpin and Malchut. The book of Rav Yeva Saba explains that the Y י that represents Chokmah unified with the ה H of Binah and impregnated her to deliver Z”A and Malchut that are the ‘son’ and the ‘daughter’.
Binah has the letters of ‘בן יה’ that include the ‘son, בן’ and ‘יה’ the parents, Chokmah and Binah. The Light from Chokmah, the Father ‘impregnates’ Binah, the Mother and she delivers the ‘son,בן, Z”A, the letter Vav ו of the name, and the ‘daughter’, Malchut, the letter ה H of the name. The וה VH control and manifest out entire existence.
