Daily Zohar – Tikunim – #306 – Can you see the sea?
Tikkun 21 – 47
The 24 books of the Bible channel the supernal water to Malchut with our work and prayers to draw and reveal it.
The 50 letters of the Shema, which are 25 letters in the morning and 25 in the evening refer to the ‘sea’ ים, of the light.
A tzadik is considered as the vessel כד that lowers דך himself to channel the light.
The whole Shema prayer has 245 words and we repeat the last 3 words to make 248 and to have a complete ‘body’. That connect to all the positive precepts in the Torah.
The Shema is built from 4 parts for the tetragramaton, YHVH. Rabbi Brandwein in his commentary explains that the first 12 words that are Shema Israel and Baruch Shem are the first part. The second part of V’ahavta, has 42 words, the third of V’haya, has 122 words and the last part of the Tzizit has 69 words.
There are 1000 letters in the 248 words of the Shema parayer. This fine structure tells us about its importance. The first 3 parts also appear in the hand and head Tefilin. It is also inside the Mezuzah that we put on our doors to block negativity from entering our homes.
