Zohar Vaetchanan

#127
Isaiah 27:13
“It will come about also in that day that a great Shofar will be blown, and those who were lost in the land of Assyria and who were scattered in the land of Egypt will come and worship YHVH in the holy mountain at Jerusalem.”
‘In that day’ is a day that is known to the Holy One Blessed be He as it is written;
Zecharia 14:7
“For it will be a unique day which is known to YHVH, neither day nor night, but it will come about that at evening time there will be light.”
And also ‘on that day’ in Ezekiel 38:18
“It will come about on that day when Gog comes against the land of Israel,” declares YHVH GOD, “that My fury will mount up in My anger.”

The verse tells about ‘a great Shofar will be blown’ and the Zohar asks what do we care if it’s big or small and answers that ‘a great Shofar’ means a supernal Shofar that is blown in the year of the jubilee, announcing the release of the slaves to freedom.
The Jubilee is the 50th year in a cycle of 7 x7 sabbaticals. It connects us to Binah that is the aspect of freedom. When the 50th gate of Binah is open, a ‘Great Shofar’ is blown and the lower worlds are set free.

#129
The ‘lost in the land of Assyria’ (Isaiah 27:13) are those who were in other lands, drawing nourishment from the other-side, not from the pure system. They are called ‘lost’ because they lost faith and the connection to the pure system.
When in the Holy Land, the Light of Zeir Anpin nourishes the people and when they are outside of the Land, they lose that light.

Lesson;
Freedom is a state when we enjoy the Light without limitations. It happens when the gate to the light of Binah is opened. The Torah tells us that the jubilee year is sanctified because it represents the 50th gate, and we should release all slaves and return leased lands to their owners.
‘The Day’ that is referred to in the above verses is the day that symbolizes the Final Redemption when all of us as slaves in this world, would be freed from dependency on fruits of this world and receive a constant flow of nourishment and life from Binah.

Isaiah 27:13
“It will come about also in that day that a great Shofar will be blown, and those who were lost in the land of Assyria and who were scattered in the land of Egypt will come and worship YHVH in the holy mountain at Jerusalem.”

When the Great Shofar is blown all ‘lost’ people would realize that the source of Life is from Binah and its outlet is the Holy Temple in Jerusalem.

Away from the Zohar and Torah studies is a state of ‘lost’ in other nations, where there is no direct connection to the Light.
