Daily Zohar # 3140 – Vaetchanan – The commandment of love
.

Zohar Vaetchanan
#138
Isaiah 50:3
“I clothe the heavens with blackness And make sackcloth their covering.”
From the day the Israelites went into exile, Happiness was not found in front of the Holy One Blessed be He that loves us (Malachi 1:2) “אָהַבְתִּי אֶתְכֶם אָמַר יְהוָה”, “I have loved you,”.
Because of God’s love for us, we need to connect to him with supernal love in everything we do.
Deuteronomy 6:5
“You shall love YHVH your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your might.”
Rabbi Aba says that love is the entire Torah and because of that, this verse is included in the portion of Vaetchanan, together with the Ten commandments.
#139
There is nothing that the Holy One Blessed be He likes more than those who love him properly as it is written “with all your heart” that means with the good and the bad side of your heart. “with all your soul” means with the two sides of your soul, the good and the bad. Rabbi Elazar explains “with all your might” means with everything you got, money that was inherited of coming from other sources and money that was earned.
Lesson;
‘Love’ ‘אהבה’ is numerically 13 and when we love God with connecting to his love for us and the unification of these two ‘loves’ (13+13=26) reveals the Light of YHVH (Numerically 26).
