Daily Zohar # 3154 – Vaetchanan – Stay in the ‘tent’ and sharpen your sword
.

Zohar Vaetchanan
Continued from previous DZ study
#168
Losing a source of light is like a person that a king deposited in his hands, goldware, and jewelry to use and enjoy. When the king passes away he takes his deposit with him. That person left with sadness for the great loss. He had so much available to him while his master was alive but now it’s gone.
#169
The same with Joshua. He was drawing light and security every day from the ‘tent’ (Malchut) of Moses. After Moses passed away, Joshua lost the support of his master.
The man that joined Rabbi Elazar and Rabbi Echa in this study said that as he is studying with them, he has clarity but after he leaves them, he wouldn’t be able to study alone. The Light of Rabbi Elazar and Rabbi Echa was around them and that man could benefit from it. He realized that if he leaves them, it wouldn’t be the same.
#170
He quoted Deuteronomy 6:7
“You shall teach them diligently to your children, and shall talk of them when you sit in your house, and when you walk by the way, and when you lie down, and when you rise.”
‘teach them diligently’ is about repeating the studies to be used like a sharp sword that remove folly from the heart and keep it happy.
‘and you shall talk of them’ is about following the ways of the Torah and stay on the righteous path that is in the middle, not right or left.
Lesson;
The precious jewelry and goldware are the aspects of Torah studies, especially from the Zohar. When we keep with the daily studies it’s like having the Light of the Zohar around us. It benefits us tremendously. The more we repeat it we experience greater peace and joy in our hearts. Leaving the ’tent’ of the Zohar is like falling on the face, having no ability to see and experience the Light.
