Zohar Vayechi

Genesis 48:9
Joseph said to his father, “They are my sons, whom God has given me this (בָּזֶה).” And he said, “Bring them to me, please, that I may bless them.”

#97
After telling his father “These are my sons, whom God has given me,” Jacob told him, “Please bring them to me, that I may bless them.”. The sons of Joseph were connected to the Torah and Jacob could channel blessings to them.

#98
The angel that fought with Jacob asked for his name and Jacob answered him.
Genesis 32:28
“So he said to him, “What is your name?” And he said, “Jacob.””
“Then he said, “Your name shall no longer be called Jacob, but Israel, for you have striven with God and with men, and have prevailed.””
“Then Jacob asked him and said, “Please tell me your name.” But he said, “Why is (זה) it that you ask my name?” And he blessed him there.”
A person’s name testifies to his spiritual level. Jacob is a name on a level that is lower than the name Israel given to him by the angel he fought and won. Immediately after, Jacob asked the angel for his name, looking to understand the angel’s mission. The angel replied with a question “why do you ask me”, using the word ‘זה’ that as we explained before it is a reference to the Torah. The angel didn’t give his name and blessed Jacob.

#99
Judges 5:5
“The mountains quaked before YHVH, this (זֶה) Sinai before YHVH, the God of Israel.”
Sinai is where the Torah was given to Israel and it became part of the Torah.

Exodus 32:1
“When the people saw that Moses delayed to come down from the mountain, the people gathered themselves together to Aaron and said to him, “Up, make us gods who shall go before us. As for this (זֶה) Moses, the man who brought us up out of the land of Egypt, we do not know what has become of him.””
Moses went up Mount Sinai to receive the Torah. And his name is connected to the Torah. The people use the word זֶה to refer to Moses.

Exodus 15:2
“This (זֶה) is my God, and I will praise Him; My father’s God, and I will extol Him”
In the second verse of the Song that the Israelites sang after splitting and crossing the sea, they saw the Torah coming down and called it “This (זֶה) is my God”.

Lesson;
Jacob invited Joseph’s sons, Menashe and Ephraim to receive blessings from him only after he found out that they are connected to the Torah.
We should remember that the Light needs a vessel to receive the Light and be able to manifest it in our material world. It’s important that the people we pray for have consciousness and desire to receive the Light we pray for them.
This is an important principle to follow. Study Zohar and Psalms before expressing your wishes and desires before God. Give Tzedaka before a personal wish, even a few coins into a box/jar dedicated for this purpose. Reveal light before asking for it.

Isaiah 49:3
“And he said to me, “You are my servant, Israel, in whom I will be glorified.”
When the name Israel is mentioned instead of Jacob, it is to tell us that it is related to a higher level of Zeir Anpin.

Studying the Zohar is the aspect of “I will adorn him” because we study the secrets of the Torah and revealing greater light. Our place of study should be nice and clean to give honor and be able to say “זֶה אֵלִי וְאַנְוֵהוּ” “This (זֶה) is my God, I will adorn Him”.
