Zohar Ha’azinu
#155
For that reason, every prayer and wish a person asks from the Holy One Blessed be He needed to come out from the lips. When the words come out, they break through the air, ascend and become a voice that is taken by whoever takes them and unite them in the holy place of the King’s head.
#156
From the three cavities of the brain that are Chokmah, Binah and Da’at, drips trickle into the ear and it is called stream of Karit ‘כרית’, as in ‘כורה אוזנים’, meaning ‘opening ears’ to listen better. The voice enters the ear and is absorbed in the stream, and examined if it is good or bad.
Job 34:3
“כִּי אֹזֶן מִלִּין תִּבְחָן וְחֵךְ יִטְעַם לֶאֱכֹל.”
“For the ear tests, words As the palate tastes food.”
The voice is delayed in the curves of the ear for examination, same as the food is going into the mouth and tasted first to know if the food is bitter or sweet.
