Zohar Chayei Sarah

#104
And what Abraham did not ask at the beginning to sell to him, Ephron sold to him. Abraham did not say ‘I want to have the Cave of Machpelah’. He didn’t even mention the field, and Efron said, I give you the field and the cave. And it’s because Ephron did not know the value of the property and it was repulsive to him. And so he also included the field, even though Abraham did not ask for it.

#105
When Abraham first entered the Cave, he saw a light there, and the dust was thrown before him, and two tombs revealed to him. Meanwhile, Adam stood from his grave, in his form, saw Abraham, and smiled. And Abraham knew that he would be buried there.

#106
Abraham told him, please, is there an open palace here. He was puzzled because, in the Cave of the Machpelah, which means a double cave or a cave within a cave, there must be complete darkness, but he saw bright light as in a house without a roof.
Adam said to him, the Holy One Blessed be He hid me here, and from that time until now, I was hidden like a fish in an excavation under the earth. Now, after you came to the world, I and the world exist for you.
It means that before Abraham, Adam and the world were incomplete and Adam needed to be hidden so the Klipot wouldn’t have a hold on him. When Abraham came to the world, he made a correction that ‘freed’ Adam from his ‘hiding’.

Lesson;
Abraham established the connection to Chessed that is the bridge between the lower seven and the upper three Sefirot. That connection enabled the flow of Light to the world and gave it sustenance.

The lesson for us is that to connect upper and lower and draw the light of sustenance, we need to act with Chessed. It is done by revealing light through studies, sharing, and certainty in Hashem like Abraham.
