Daily Zohar # 3746 – Beresheet – Where to gather Light
Hebrew translation:
.
Zohar Beresheet
Continued from previous DZ
#68
The waters “gathered together into one place” is Yessod because it is where there is a unification of the levels of the upper world.
Zecharia 14:9
“And YHVH will be king over all the earth; on that day YHVH will be the only one (upper), and His name (lower) the only one.”
This verse implies two unifications, one is on the upper levels, and the second one is the unification on the lower levels represented by ‘שְׁמוֹ אֶחָד’ ‘his name.’
At the level of Yessod that is called ‘חי העולמים’ ‘Life of the worlds,’ the waters from ‘under the heavens’ that is Binah, gather and become one. This is the point where the concealed and revealed are connected.
#69
The revealed world is the lower world where we have the aspect of seeing as implied above (#66) “the dry land appears (seen).”
Isaiah 6:1
“In the year that King Uzziah died, I saw the Lord sitting on a throne, high and lifted up, and the train of His robe filled the temple.”
Exodus 24:10
“and they saw the God of Israel. And there was under His feet as it were a paved work of sapphire stone, and it was like the very heavens in its clarity.”
Numbers 14:10
“And all the congregation said to stone them with stones. Now the glory of YHVH appeared in the tabernacle of meeting before all the children of Israel.”
Ezekiel 1:28
“Like the appearance of a rainbow in a cloud on a rainy day, so was the appearance of the brightness all around it. This was the appearance of the likeness of the glory of YHVH. So when I saw it, I fell on my face, and I heard a voice of One speaking.”
Lesson;
The verses above tell us that the Light of Hashem appears in many and different situations.
The life force exists only when there is a unification between light and vessel. It happens at the level of Yessod, where our actions create vessels that connect and draw from the upper light into the vessel for fulfillment.
Even a wicked person can draw ‘life-force’ to power up his actions. The problem is that when the vessel is not pure, the other side can connect to the flawed vessel and ‘suck’ the life force from it, causing judgments that hurt the one who created the impure vessel. We should always remember this spiritual principle and be pure with our desires and actions.
We create pure vessels when we study Torah and Zohar, pray, and give Tzedakah. These are the proper and best ways to connect us to Yessod.
