Zohar Beresheet

#70
In the vision of Ezekiel, we read, “Like the appearance of a rainbow.” It refers to Yessod of Zeir Anpin as we read in
Genesis 9:13,14
“אֶת קַשְׁתִּי נָתַתִּי בֶּעָנָן וְהָיְתָה לְאוֹת בְּרִית בֵּינִי וּבֵין הָאָרֶץ.”
“וְהָיָה בְּעַנְנִי עָנָן עַל הָאָרֶץ וְנִרְאֲתָה הַקֶּשֶׁת בֶּעָנָן.”
“I set My rainbow in the cloud, and it shall be for the sign of the covenant between Me and the earth.”
“It shall be when I bring a cloud over the earth that the rainbow shall be seen in the cloud.”
The “cloud” is the aspect of the revealed world that is Malchut, Nukva of Zeir Anpin. “I set My rainbow in the cloud” means that the rainbow was set from the day of Creation. “When I bring a cloud over the earth” is to tell us that the rainbow has the secret of “appearance of the likeness of the glory of YHVH” (Ezekiel 1:28). When it happens, the Left is awakened and gets stronger because it doesn’t have Chassadim.
Genesis 35:16
“וַיִּסְעוּ מִבֵּית אֵל וַיְהִי עוֹד כִּבְרַת הָאָרֶץ לָבוֹא אֶפְרָתָה וַתֵּלֶד רָחֵל וַתְּקַשׁ בְּלִדְתָּהּ.”
“Then they journeyed from Bethel. And when there was but a little distance to go to Ephrath, Rachel labored in childbirth, and she had hard labor.”
Rachel represents the Nukva that comes from Israel Sava and Tevuna to bring Chassadim to Chokmah on the Left. She had a hard labor, meaning it was hard for her to come down from the upper level and bring balance.
Michael on the Right, Gabriel on the Left to reveal the colors of white, red, and green of the three lines of the Tree of Life.

#71
There are four shades of colors in the brightness that appear around the eye. It is mostly white, inside there is red, green in the middle, and black is the eye pupil that controls the power of sight. These colors are seen in the rainbow that reveals the lower unification after the upper unification.

#72
Deuteronomy 6:4
“שְׁמַע יִשְׂרָאֵל יְהוָֹה אֱלֹהֵינוּ יְהוָֹה אֶחָד”
““Hear, O Israel: YHVH (יְהוָֹה) our God (אֱלֹהֵינוּ), YHVH (יְהוָֹה) is one!”
The three names “יְהוָֹה אֱלֹהֵינוּ יְהוָֹה” in the Shema Israel relate to the three colors, white, red, and green. These colors are concealed, invisible, and bound to a place in the secret unification in the upper world. It is implied in the vision of Ezekiel 1:28, “so was the appearance of the brightness all around it.”
The lower unification that is represented with the rainbow colors is with the six words “בָּרוּךְ שֵׁם כְּבוֹד מַלְכוּתוֹ לְעוֹלָם וָעֶד” “Blessed be the Name of his Kingdom’s glory forever and ever” that we say after the six words of the Shema. The parallel unification draws Zeir Anpin from the supernal level to the lower.
