Zohar Kedoshim

A person who looks at women’s beauty during the day triggers thoughts during the night, and if he has evil thoughts, He transgresses the sin of idols and lets the other side use the unholy connections found in his mind to drive the person to sin.
Also, if a man had sex with his wife while contemplating other women, the children that would come out of this relationship would be called “molded gods.” And so it is written;
Leviticus 19:4
“‘Do not turn to idols, nor make for yourselves molded gods: I am YHVH your God.”
Rabbi Abba said a person must not look at the idols of foreign worship and the women of other nations and not enjoy them or be cured by them because a person is not allowed to look where he does not have to.
Lesson;
The consciousness during the unification of man and woman strongly affects the outcome. In a holy state, blessings and or righteous souls would be drawn down, and if the unification is contaminated, then no blessings and the soul drawn down would reflect the consciousness of the two.
It is always better for a husband and wife to schedule times and prepares for their intimacy because it would benefit them greatly, even if it is not for having children. Look into your spouse’s eyes and find the love you experienced before. Be with them without distractions.
The Zohar says, “a person is not allowed to look where he does not have to.” This is a strong rule used by Tzadikim. They would rarely look directly at people because the eyes are at the level of Chokmah, and a bad sight would contaminate the mind. Since everything is registered in memory, it is hard to remove it. Because of that, it is better not to look unless we have to. Reading the sacred text helps forget bad sights. It cannot be erased but is covered by many holy texts, so it won’t bother us.

Rabbi Aba said was there not a beautiful man in the world like David that said;
Psalm 86:16
“Oh, turn to me, and have mercy on me! Give Your strength to Your servant, And save the son of Your maidservant.”
He answered, we have learned that the Holy One, Blessed be He, has another David, that is Malchut. This David is in charge of supernal armies, and when Hashem wants to have mercy on the world, he looks at this David to show him a favor and shines Light and understanding on all worlds.
Lesson;
A positive vision that triggers positive thoughts is good. As we read above, Hashem looks at the beautiful side of Malchut to show favors and Light of Mercy.
Looking at other beautiful women/men is the opposite of this one. If looking at others’ beauty is done to trigger the desire for pleasures, it is terrible because there is no direct connection between husband and wife.
