Daily Zohar 3961

Zohar Emor

#196
The Shofar blowing has three sets of sounds, and each has the aspect of Right, Left, and Center.
Right – תשרת- (Tekiah, Shevarim, Teruah, Tekiah)
Left – תשת (Tekiah, Shevarim, Tekiah)
Center – תרת (Tekiah, Teruah, Tekiah)
The first set is under the rule of the Right, Abraham, so the first blowing תשרת is Right of Right, The next תשת is Left of Right, then Center of Right.
The second set of blowing is under the rule of the Left, Isaac, so the first blowing תשרת is Right of Left, the next תשת is Left of Left, then Center of Left.
The third set of blowing is under the rule of the Center, Jacob, so the first blowing תשרת is Right of Center, the next תשת is Left of Center, then Center of Center.
The Zohar explains the details of the sounds below.
The second sound rises, that is, Tekiah, the first blow of the second set of the Right. This sound rises with the strength to break harsh judgments. This is the second sequence under the rule of the Left of the Right. Its sound is Shevarim, Teruah, and it goes up to Binah and breaks all judgments from the upper three sefirot of the Left that come across him until the sound reaches Isaac, that is on the Left. Then the next blowing in the set that has the aspect of the centerline awakens Abraham, that is on the Right, and establishes the throne of Mercy. Then harsh judgments from the Left surrender to the throne and break.
The person who blows the Shofar needs to have the desire and consciousness to break the force of judgments from the Left. It is said;
Psalm 89:16
“Blessed are the people who know the sound! (Teruah, תְרוּעָה) They walk, O YHVH, in the light of Your countenance.”
The word Teruah also has the meaning of ‘to break’ as it is written;
Psalm 2:9
“You shall break (תְּרֹעֵם) them with a rod of iron; You shall dash them to pieces like a potter’s vessel.’ ”
We are blessed to know the purpose of the Shofar and how to activate its power to break judgments.
#197
The third set of blowings is under the rule of the centerline, Jacob, of the Right. The Tekiah rises and pierces through the heavens and awakens Mercy in Binah. Jacob sees Abraham on the RIght, and together they hold Isaac, that is on the Left, and because the upper three Sefirot of the Left are already weakened, they can now stop the judgments from going out.
The three shofar blowing sets are considered as one because all of them serve the process of breaking the judgments.
#198
Another sound sequence with the aspect of the Left rises, תשת, Tekiah, Shevarim, Tekiah. The first Tekiah is on the Right, Abraham of the Left. The sound of Shevarim rises and takes Abraham from his place to Isaac’s place, where Abraham can sustain its force because this sequence is under the rule of the Right of the Left.
