Daily Zohar # 4033 – Balak – Raise your shields
Daily Zohar 4033
Continued from previous DZ
Rabbi Shimon said, how many times have I said this, and the friends don’t look. The Holy One Blessed be He does not place the Shechina except in a holy place that is worthy of his presence. Also, the Holy One Blessed be He declares and says;
“There shall not be found among you anyone who makes his son or his daughter pass through the fire, or one who practices witchcraft, or a soothsayer, or one who interprets omens, or a sorcerer,”
Balaam came to intervene in Israel, but the Holy One, Blessed be He, sanctified Israel to be with them, and Balaam could not act his witchcraft on them.
It is written;
“For YHVH your God walks in the midst of your camp, to deliver you and give your enemies over to you; therefore your camp shall be holy, that He may see no unclean thing among you, and turn away from you.”
“Consecrate yourselves, therefore, and be holy, for I am the LORD your God.”
“‘Do not defile yourselves with any of these things; for by all these the nations are defiled, which I am casting out before you.”
“And you shall not walk in the statutes of the nation which I am casting out before you; for they commit all these things, and therefore I abhor them.”
The other nations are outside the holiness of Hashem. Blessed is the portion of Israel, and blessed is the portion of the holy faithful prophets, who are holy and can use the supreme holiness.
We sanctify ourselves with holiness that we draw from the study of the Torah on all levels. That gives us a shield from the other side that looks for an opening to invade our space and hurt us. We have this protection when we study Torah and Zohar every day.
