Zohar Vayishlach

#119
Before he passed away, Jacob was sick. He called Joseph and made him swear that he would bury him with his fathers, Abraham and Isaac, in the Cave of the Machpelah.
Genesis 47:31
“וַיֹּאמֶר הִשָּׁבְעָה לִי וַיִּשָּׁבַע לוֹ וַיִּשְׁתַּחוּ יִשְׂרָאֵל עַל רֹאשׁ הַמִּטָּה.”
“Then he said, “Swear to me.” And he swore to him. So Israel bowed himself on the head of the bed.”
Jacob did not bow down to his son, but he was kneeling down and bowing down to the place of the Shechinah, which was at the head of the bed, because the Shechinah is by the head of a sick person.
Even when meeting with Esau, it said, “he crossed over before them”. “He” is the Shechina that came before them to protect Jacob and his camps. When Jacob saw the Shechina, he said, now the time has come to bow down to the Holy One, Blessed be He, who was going before him.

Lesson;
The Shechina stays by the head of a sick person. The angel of death and other judgments from the other side is by the sick person’s legs. When visiting a sick person, we should not sit on the same bed, definitely not by the legs of the sick. We stand or sit on a chair by the head of the sick.
The word “sick” in Hebrew “חולה” has a numerical value of 49; when we visit the ill, we complete it to 50, and that is the connection to the Shechina, which is a big Mitzvah and support for the ill. Every person that visits the sick contributes to his healing process.

Jacob knelt down and bowed seven times until he reached his brother, Esau. It is not written that he bowed to Esau. Only when he saw that the Holy One, Blessed be He was going before him he bowed in front of him. So as not to give respect or bow before someone else. Everything was as it should be. Blessed are the righteous, that all their actions are for the honor of their Master, and so that they won’t deviate right or left from the straight and middle path.

Genesis 33:4
“וַיָּרָץ עֵשָׂו לִקְרָאתוֹ וַיְחַבְּקֵהוּ וַיִּפֹּל עַל צַוָּארָו וַיִּשָּׁקֵהוּ וַיִּבְכּוּ.”
“But Esau ran to meet him, and embraced him, and fell on his neck and kissed him, and they wept.”
The word “neck” “צַוָּארָו” is missing the letter י Y.
The words of the Torah have many supreme secrets that are different from each other, and everything is one.
