Daily Zohar # 4132 – Miketz – When to remember a dream
Daily Zohar 4132

“Then Joseph remembered the dreams which he had dreamed about them, and said to them, “You are spies! You have come to see the nakedness of the land!”
He asked, why did Joseph remember these dreams about his brothers. What would have happened to him if he didn’t remember them, after all, Joseph was wise, and it is written;
Proverbs 13:16
“Every prudent man acts with knowledge, But a fool lays open his folly.”
#145
He answers since Joseph saw that his brothers come and bow down to him, he remembered what he had dreamed of when he was with them, that it is written;
Genesis 37:7
“There we were, binding sheaves in the field. Then behold, my sheaf arose and also stood upright; and indeed your sheaves stood all around and bowed down to my sheaf.”
Joseph remembered the dreams he had dreamed because he saw them come true.
#146
Joseph remembered them because there is no forgetting before the Holy One, Blessed be He. When the dream is good, the person needs to remember it so that it will not be forgotten, and then it comes true, because just as it is forgotten in the person, so will it be forgotten from above, and it does not come true.
Lesson;
When we have good dreams, we should put them in writing or tells a kosher dream interpreter. We share our dreams only with a good Torah scholar with experience in dream interpretation.
Never tell a dream to someone who is jealous of you or have negative opinions. Even if they are not spiritual, they can still have power to manifest wrong interpretations.
