#149
When the Matron, meaning the Torah with the Shechina in Malchut, travels, everyone travels with her, as it is written, “and the angel of God traveled” (Exodus 14:19). He asks, is Malchut called “Angel of God”. Rabbi Abba quotes Rabbi Shimon, saying, God installed before him the Holy Temple, the Upper Temple, the Holy City, the Supernal City, and it called Jerusalem the Holy City. All these names are related to Malchut. Whoever wants to come to the king cannot enter except through the Holy City, which is Malchut. From where the road is properly made to lead to the King.

Psalm 118:20
“This is the gate of YHVH, Through which the righteous shall enter.”
Every mission that the king, Zeir Anpin, wants comes from the house of the Matron, Malchut. And every mission that comes from below first enters the Matron, and from there to the king. We find that the Matron is the messenger of both from the bottom up and from the top down. And therefore, she is the messenger of all, as it is written, “and the angel of God traveled before the camp of Israel.” Israel of above, which is Zeir Anpin, “the angel of God,” Malchut, and
Exodus 13:21
“And YHVH went before them by day in a pillar of cloud to lead the way, and by night in a pillar of fire to give them light, to go by day and night.”
“Day and Night” refers to Zeir Anpin and Malchut, that traveled before the camps of Israel.
Exodus 14:19
“And the Angel of God, who went before the camp of Israel, moved and went behind them; and the pillar of cloud went from before them and stood behind them.”
Lesson;
The Matron is the lady of the house, which is Malchut. To connect to Zeir Anpin to Illuminate our “nights,” we need the Shechina on Malchut to guide us during the “day.” The Shechina is our messenger, and she comes to support and elevate our prayers to the upper gate, which is Yessod of Zeir Anpin and above. The Light that we pray for comes through the Shechina in Malchut. The Torah and its studies are the tool we use to connect to the Shechina. Then we have support day and Night.
When Jacob arrived at the place of the future Holy Temple, he fell asleep and saw in his dream the ladder that connects heaven and earth. He woke up and said;
Genesis 28:17
“And he was afraid and said, “How awesome is this place! This is none other than the house of God, and this is the gate of heaven!”
The Holy Temple in Jerusalem is our gate to the heavens. We don’t have the Holy Temple; the holiest tool we have to replace that connection is the Torah. With it, we connect Malchut and Zeir Anpin to help us go above the influence of the stars and constellations and have our prayers answered.
When King Solomon brought the Holy Ark into the first Holy Temple, he raised his hand to the heavens and said;
“May Your eyes be open to this temple night and day, this place of which You said, ‘My Name shall be there,’ so that You may hear the prayer Your servant prays toward this place. Hear the supplication of Your servant and of Your people Israel when they pray toward this place. Hear from heaven Your dwelling place, and when You hear, forgive.”
Our studies cleanse us and allow our prayers to be answered.
1 Kings 8:39
“then hear in heaven Your dwelling place (1), and forgive (2), and act, and give to everyone according to all his ways(3), whose heart You know, or You alone know the hearts of all the sons of men.”
Jacob hit the place before King Solomon built the Holy Temple because the channel of the Light of Hashem has been there since the days of Creation.
To have our prayers answered, we face the east, toward Jerusalem, as if we are in the Holy Temple, the dwelling place of Hashem.
We ask forgiveness for our sins and transgressions (without details) to get cleansed.
We do good deeds (Studies, Sharing, Tzedakah) so Hashem would act and give us our needs according to our vessel.
Hashem knows our hearts, so we need to come in purity before him.
