And he replies, the Holy One, Blessed be He acts with mercy, for in what He strikes, He gives healing. He strikes with the aspect of the Left, and with the Right, He brings Chassadim and mercy. Behold, wherever he strikes, he gives healing to the world. For it is written;
Jeremiah 1:14
“וַיֹּאמֶר יְהוָה אֵלָי מִצָּפוֹן תִּפָּתַח הָרָעָה עַל כָּל יֹשְׁבֵי הָאָרֶץ.”
“Then YHVH said to me: “Out of the north calamity shall break forth On all the inhabitants of the land.”
The North is the aspect of the Left because judgments and decrees come from that direction. At the same time, the North holds all the good rewards and Chassadim that Hashem will give Israel.
Because in the future, the Holy One, Blessed be He, will call and say to the North, I have given every good and every reward that is good for my children who have suffered many hardships in this world for the holiness of my name. Give back all the rewards of the good I have given to you.

Isaiah 43:6
“אֹמַר לַצָּפוֹן תֵּנִי וּלְתֵימָן אַל תִּכְלָאִי הָבִיאִי בָנַי מֵרָחוֹק וּבְנוֹתַי מִקְצֵה הָאָרֶץ.”
“I will say to the north, ‘Give them up!’ And to the South, ‘Do not keep them back!’ Bring My sons from afar, And My daughters from the ends of the earth—”
He quotes this verse and asks, is that the way of the South, which is the right, and Chessed to withhold blessings? After all, all the blessings and the good in the world come out from the South, Chessed. Yet, he tells the South, do not keep them back.
