Hebrew translation:

149. רַבִּי יוֹסֵי אָמַר, אַחַר שֶׁרוּחַ הַצָּפוֹן הִתְעוֹרְרָה בַּחֲצוֹת הַלַּיְלָה וְהָלְכָה לָהּ, מְבַשְּׂרִים תְּהִלּוֹת עַד שֶׁיָּבֹא הַבֹּקֶר, וּמִתְעוֹרֵר הַבֹּקֶר הַזֶּה, וְאָז שִׂמְחָה וּבְרָכוֹת נִמְצָאִים בָּעוֹלָם.
150. לָמַדְנוּ, אָמַר רַבִּי אַבָּא, כֻּלָּם כָּךְ, וּמֵעַל כֻּלָּם שְׁלֹשָׁה שָׂרִים. בְּאוֹתָהּ שָׁעָה שֶׁמִּתְעוֹרֵר הַבֹּקֶר הַזֶּה וּמְעוֹרְרִים תִּשְׁבָּחוֹת עַל כָּל אוֹתָם אֶלֶף וַחֲמֵשׁ מֵאוֹת וַחֲמִשִּׁים רִבּוֹא, מִתְמַנֶּה עֲלֵיהֶם מְמֻנֶּה אֶחָד, וּשְׁמוֹ הֵימָן, כְּנֶגֶד שֶׁלְּמַטָּה, וְתַחַת יָדוֹ שָׂרִים מְמֻנִּים עֲלֵיהֶם לְתַקֵּן שִׁיר.
151. בְּאוֹתָהּ שָׁעָה שֶׁמִּתְעוֹרֵר זְמַן שֶׁל בֵּין הָעַרְבַּיִם וּמְזַמְּרִים כָּל אוֹתָם אֶלֶף וַחֲמֵשׁ מֵאוֹת וְתִשְׁעִים אֶלֶף רִבּוֹא בַּעֲלֵי הַיְלָלָה, מִתְמַנֶּה עֲלֵיהֶם מְמֻנֶּה אֶחָד, וּשְׁמוֹ יְדוּתוּן, כְּנֶגֶד שֶׁלְּמַטָּה, וְתַחַת יָדוֹ מְמֻנִּים עֲלֵיהֶם שָׂרִים לְתַקֵּן אוֹתוֹ הַזֶּמֶר, כְּמוֹ שֶׁנֶּאֱמַר (שם כה) זְמִיר עָרִיצִים.

Rabbi Yosi said that the north wind that is aroused at midnight and spreads represents the secret illumination of the Light of Chokmah on the left side, which is called the north wind. Then praises are declared until morning comes with the light of Chassadim, and then joy and blessings are found in the world.

Rabbi Abba said that we learned everything Rabbi Yehuda and Rabbi Yosi said was true, and there were three ministers above them. He explains that when the praises of all those myriad forces are aroused at the beginning of the morning, one overseer named Heiman is appointed over them, who corresponds to the Heiman below mentioned in the Psalms. Under his command, ministers are appointed over them to arrange the singing. Heiman’s name is derived from ‘yamin’ (right) because he is drawn from the right.

When the evening twilight is aroused, and all those forces of praise sing, one overseer is appointed over them, and his name is Yeduthun, corresponding to the Yeduthun mentioned in the Psalms. Under his command are ministers appointed over them to arrange that singing, as it is said;
Isaiah 25:5
“כְּחֹרֶב בְּצָיוֹן שְׁאוֹן זָרִים תַּכְנִיעַ חֹרֶב בְּצֵל עָב זְמִיר עָרִיצִים יַעֲנֶה”
“You will reduce the noise of aliens, As heat in a dry place; As heat in the shadow of a cloud, The song of the ruthless ones will be diminished.”
This means the cutting down of the wicked. With their songs, they destroy the wicked. Yeduthun ‘s name consists of the letters “יד,” ‘yad’ (hand), and ‘ya dun’ (judge), indicating that he is from the left and draws judgments.
