Zohar Vayechi

#172
We have learned that after the seven days, the body becomes what it becomes, and the soul enters its destined place. It enters the Cave of Machpelah, sees what it sees, and proceeds to its designated place until it arrives at the Garden of Eden. There, it encounters the cherubim and the flaming sword that guard the entrance to the Garden of Eden. If the soul is righteous, it enters.
Notes:
The journey of the soul after the seven-day mourning period emphasizes the transition from the physical to the spiritual, with entry to the Garden of Eden contingent upon the soul’s worthiness.
#173
We have learned about four pillars, which are four angels derived from the four spiritual levels: Chochmah, Binah, Tiferet (Z”A), and Malchut. These angels are prepared for the soul, holding a form of the soul’s body in their hands—this is the garment known as the “חלוקא דרבנן” Chaluka de-Rabbanan. The soul is dressed in this garment with joy and resides in the realm of the Lower Garden of Eden until the appointed time decreed for it to remain there.
Notes:
For those striving for spiritual growth, the concept of the Chaluka de-Rabbanan serves as a powerful motivation to engage in Torah study, mitzvot, Tzedaka, and good deeds. It underscores the eternal impact of our actions and their role in shaping our spiritual destiny.
#174
A column with three colors is prepared there, in the lower Garden of Eden, corresponding to the three hues of the rainbow. This column is called “Mekhon Har Tzion” (“the foundation of Mount Zion”), as it is written: “וּבָרָא ה’ עַל מְכוֹן הַר צִיּוֹן וְעַל מִקְרָאֶיהָ וגו'”—”And Hashem will create upon every dwelling place of Mount Zion, and upon her assemblies…” (Isaiah 4:5). The soul ascends via this column to the “Gate of Righteousness,” which connects Zion and Jerusalem, corresponding to the Yessod and Malchut of the Nukva of Zeir Anpin, known as “Tzedek” (Righteousness).
