Zohar Vaera

#161
When the night is divided (at midnight), those who desire to always remember the Holy One, Blessed be He, do not allow their hearts to rest. They rise from their beds to mention the Holy One, Blessed be He. When the morning dawns, they go early to the synagogue to praise the Holy One, Blessed be He. Similarly, after midday—at the time of the afternoon prayer (Mincha)—and at night, they continue their service when the night thickens and blends into darkness and the sun sets. About such people, it is written: “הַמַּזְכִּירִים אֶת ה’ אַל דֳּמִי לָכֶם” “You who mention Hashem, take no rest” (Isaiah 62:6). This refers to the holy people, Israel.
Notes:
The holy people of Israel maintain an uninterrupted connection with Hashem through prayer and praise at all times—midnight, morning, afternoon, and night—fulfilling their role as the eternal “mentioners” of Hashem.
#162
Concerning this, the Holy One, Blessed be He, remembered them in Egypt, and they rose up against Pharaoh—those who do not cease day or night. And who are they? They are the frogs whose voices never fall silent. This was because the holy nation (Israel) does not cease day or night from praising the Holy One, Blessed be He. No one in Egypt could converse with their fellow due to the unceasing noise. Because of them, the land was ruined, and from their sound, infants and children died.
Notes:
The unceasing croaking of the frogs in Egypt mirrored the unceasing praise of Hashem by the holy people of Israel, symbolizing Hashem’s justice against Pharaoh for silencing Israel’s worship.
