Zohar Acharei Mot

#347
Another time, Rabbi Abba was traveling to visit Rabbi Shimon. He entered into the city, and he found that same man, the one who had once the mark (Elazar), sitting and teaching the verse: “אִישׁ בַּעַר לֹא יֵדָע וּכְסִיל לֹא יָבִין אֶת זֹאת” “A stupid man does not know, and a fool does not understand this…” (Psalms 92:7) He was expounding: “How many fools there are among the people of the world, who do not pay attention, who do not know and do not take notice to understand the ways of the Holy One, Blessed be He, and why they exist in the world!” “What prevents them from recognizing their own foolishness? It is because they do not engage in the study of Torah. For if they would engage in the study of Torah, they would know the ways of the Holy One, Blessed be He.”
Notes:
Rabbi Abba witnesses Elazar’s full spiritual elevation and warns against spiritual ignorance. Elazar became a teacher of Torah.
Torah study is the foundation of awareness and Divine connection.

** Your donation doesn’t have to go to the same place every week. You can alternate or split it among those who benefit you spiritually.
