Daily Zohar # 4859 – Acharei Mot – When the wicked spring up like grass
Daily Zohar 4859

Hebrew translation:
.
Zohar Acharei Mot
Continued from previous DZ
#348
“וּכְסִיל לֹא יָבִין אֶת זֹאת” “And a fool does not understand this…” That is, he does not contemplate and does not know the ways of “this” — meaning the Shechinah, which is called “זאת” (“this”), and how she operates in the world. Even though the Holy One, Blessed be He, judges the world through His laws, and people see the judgments of “this” — meaning the Shechinah — coming upon the righteous while the wicked, who transgress the words of the Torah, do not seem to suffer judgments at all. As it is written: “בִּפְרוֹחַ רְשָׁעִים כְּמוֹ עֵשֶׂב” “When the wicked spring up like grass…” (Psalms 92:8) —they inherit the physical world from every side, and judgments do not seem to fall upon them in this world. And people do not understand why. If King David had not explained at the end of the verse, we would not have known: “לְהִשָּׁמְדָם עֲדֵי עַד” “…to be destroyed forever.” (ibid.) Meaning: Hashem pays the wicked their reward for any good deeds they performed in this world in order to eliminate them entirely in the World to Come so that they will have no share there. And they will be like dust under the feet of the righteous, as it is written: “וְעַסּוֹתֶם רְשָׁעִים כִּי יִהְיוּ אֵפֶר תַּחַת כַּפּוֹת רַגְלֵיכֶם” “And you shall trample the wicked, for they shall be ashes under the soles of your feet.” (Malachi 3:21)
Notes:
The fool (“כסיל”) does not understand “זאת” —the behavior of the Shechinah and how Divine justice operates across worlds.
Worldly appearances are deceptive. The prosperity of the wicked is a temporary repayment designed to leave them empty in the World to Come. True justice and true reward are only understood by those who study Torah, understand the ways of “זאת” — the Shechinah —and trust Hashem’s plan.
