Daily Zohar # 4975 – Beresheet – Aleph-Dalet-Mem
Daily Zohar 4975
Hebrew translation:
Zohar Beresheet
Continued from previous DZ
#415
These letters, א-Aleph ד-Dalet ם-Mem (אדם, Adam), which were revealed in Zeir Anpin and Nukva new Mochin (Chochmah-Binaah-Daat), when they descended below to the soul of Adam, all of them together in their completeness, that is, in the secret of the middle line and their mutual inclusion, it is found that man is in male and female. The Chassadim in the soul are considered male, and the Gevurot are considered female. And the female was cleaving to his side, until Hashem cast upon him a deep sleep, and he slept. He was lying in the place of the Temple below.
Notes:
This Zohar passage continues the theme of Adam’s soul, formed by the letters Aleph-Dalet-Mem, which embody the Mochin from Zeir Anpin and Nukva through their zivug. The Mochin descend via the middle line’s masach of chirik (וִ), integrating Chassadim (וֹ, male) and Gevurot (וּ, female) in mutual inclusion. The female (Nukva, Gevurot) cleaves to Adam’s side until the divine sleep, in the Temple below (Malchut). This conceptually connects to Genesis 2:21-22, where the woman is made from Adam, reflecting the soul’s dual nature and rectification process.
Main Point: The soul of Adam, via Aleph-Dalet-Mem, receives Mochin from Zeir Anpin and Nukva’s zivug, with Chassadim (male) and Gevurot (female) uniting until the female separates in the Temple below.
