We have learned: One who wants the Holy One, blessed be He, to accept his prayer should engage in Torah, which is the tree of life, and then the desire comes. What is desire? This is the level that all the prayers of the world are in her hands, that is, the Nukva. And she brings them before the King above, which is Zeir Anpin. It is written here: בָאָה (she comes), and it is written there: בָּעֶרֶב הִיא בָאָה (she comes in the evening). Just as בָאָה there refers to the Nukva, so בָאָה here is the Nukva. And this is the desire that comes, for she comes before the King above for union, to fulfill the will of the person praying, to fill his request.
Notes:
The word בָאָה (she comes) refers to the Nukva’s role in elevating prayers, emphasizing Torah’s power to connect the lower to the upper.
#212
“תּוֹחֶלֶת מְמֻשָּׁכָה מַחֲלָה לֵב”, “A hope prolonged, a sickness of heart” (Proverbs 13:12). This is the place where that prayer was given in another place where it is not needed, for that place is called a sickness of heart. It is drawn from heart to heart until it is given from hand to hand, and sometimes salvation does not come completely. What is the reason? Because it spreads and is drawn from hand to hand through all those appointees (מְמֻנִּים) who bring it down to the world.
Notes:
A prolonged hope (תּוֹחֶלֶת מְמֻשָּׁכָה) is called ‘heart sickness’ when prayers are misplaced or delayed by intermediaries (מְמֻנִּים), hindering complete salvation. True prayer, directed to the Shekhinah (Malchut), avoids this chain, ensuring direct divine response.
