Another matter. “Who arose from the east.” For from there the light begins to shine. Because the south, which is Chessed, all the strength of the light that is in it is from the east, which is Tiferet. And therefore it says, “Who aroused” the light of the south, which is Chessed, “from the east.” The east, which is Tiferet, aroused it. For it, that is Tiferet, takes and is nourished first, and afterward it gives to the six extremities(ו” ק) included in Tiferet, among which is the south, which is Chessed. And the desire of the upper firmament, that is Binah, is to bestow to the east, which is Tiferet. That is, the one that receives from Binah is Tiferet, which is the main one of the six extremities, and afterward it bestows to the extremities, for the light of Chessed is among them. And it is found that the south does not receive from Binah, but from the east. And therefore the verse says, “Who aroused from the east.”
Notes:
The light of the south, Chessed, comes from the east, Tiferet. Binah bestows first to Tiferet, the main one of the six extremities, and Tiferet then gives to the others. Therefore the verse says the east aroused the light.
#222
“Righteousness(צֶדֶק) calls him to his foot.” This is the west, which is Malchut, which calls the east, which is Tiferet, always. And it does not rest. As it is said, “אֱלֹהִים אַל דֳּמִי לָךְ” “O Elohim, do not be silent to You…” (Psalms 83:2). Because the west, which is Malchut, called Elohim, is aroused to it always. “He gives nations before him, and he rules over kings,” for from him, from the east, it receives power to subdue all the nations of the world.
Notes:
Malchut, the west, calls Tiferet, the east, always and does not rest. From the east she receives the power to subdue the nations.

Friday would be a good day to make a ** Donation, especially if you didn’t donate in the past week. Giving on Friday, an aspect of Yessod, expands the vessel for the Light and honors Shabbat.
** Your donation doesn’t have to be given to the same place every week. You can alternate or split your donation among those who benefit you spiritually.
