Hebrew translation:
Tikkun 69 – 132
Genesis 4:17
“וַיֵּדַע קַיִן אֶת-אִשְׁתּוֹ, וַתַּהַר וַתֵּלֶד אֶת-חֲנוֹךְ; וַיְהִי, בֹּנֶה עִיר, וַיִּקְרָא שֵׁם הָעִיר, כְּשֵׁם בְּנוֹ חֲנוֹךְ”
“And Cain knew his wife; and she conceived, and bore Enoch; and he builded a city, and called the name of the city after the name of his son Enoch.”
Cain tried to correct his past by settling down, having children and building a city. He wanted to create continuation of life and the generation.
The Zohar tells us that all these outcomes were not enough to make his correction.
His descendants were Chanoch, Irad, Mechuyael, Metushael and Lemech.
Lemech took two wives, Ada and Tzillah, Ada symbolized good education but her name that means testimony, testifies on a person’s sins. Tzillah, meaning ‘Shadow’, brought negative education that is the aspect of the Angel of Death that takes the person away from the ‘Life’ path. Irad with a name that means trembling, affects the man’s limbs with negative ways and then into sins. Mechuyael speaks evil in front of God.
Metushael exhausts a person’s strength and kills him. Lemech brings the aspect of death on a person through poorness and controls him as a king.
Some sins are hard to correct, even in several life times. The Zohar reveals to us that even though Cain tried to follow the good path, his seed was strongly contaminated on the DNA level and it affected four generations.
Every action we do has a spiritual effect and it is registered in our DNA. We may be born in a new body but the Tikkun process we bring with us has a history of up to four generations.
Many people don’t understand why they have difficulties in their lives even if they are righteous people. Now we know how it works and we should do our best, so that the next person who continues our Tikkun will have less hardship in his/her life.
