A yeshiva, in Hebrew: ישיבה, literally means ‘sitting’ plural ישיבות, Yeshivas, yeshivot or yeshivos) is a school for Torah studies.
The students usually sit in pairs or small groups to discuss Torah subjects, ask questions, and find answers.
