Rabbi Abraham HaKohen of Kalisk (1741–1810) was a prominent Chassidic rabbi of the 3rd generation of Chassidic leaders. He was a disciple of Dov Ber of Mezeritch
Yehudah Aryeh Leib Alter (1847--1905), also known by the title of his main work, the Sfas Emes, was a Hasidic rabbi who succeeded his grandfather, Rabbi Yitzchak Meir Alter, as the av beis din (head of the rabbinical court) and Rav of Góra Kalwaria, Poland (known in Yiddish as the town of Ger), and succeeded the Rebbe, Reb Heynekh of Alexander, as Rebbe of the Gerrer Hasidim. Chassidic leader Kabbalist and talmudist.
Rabbi Chaim Tzvi Teitelbaum, (December 28, 1879 – January 21, 1926), (6 shevat 5686 on the Hebrew calendar), the Sigheter Rebbe, author of Atzei Chaim, was the oldest son of Rabbi Chananya Yom Tov Lipa Teitelbaum the Kedushas Yom Tov. He was the elder brother of Rabbi Joel Teitelbaum and father of Moshe Teitelbaum, both rebbes of Satmar
